Even as a kid I always loved being outside in nature and observing the wildlife around me. That love has taken me from snapping pics through the window of birds on the feeder with my parents point-&-shoot all the way to getting the shots I do today.

Hi, I’m Josiah

I consider myself very blessed to have grown up on a small farm next to thousands of acres of public land in beautiful north Idaho. This has given me constant opportunities to be out exploring and enjoying God’s country, deepening my knowledge and passion for His creations.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a great love for birds, wildlife, and nature in general.

My Grandpa got me especially interested in birds at a young age. He is also a photographer and had a set up specifically for getting pics of birds that would come to his feeder. I think that’s where I got a lot of my inspiration as I would take photos with my parents point & shoot of birds on our feeder.

So when my parents saw my love for photography they got me my first real camera for my 12th birthday. I used that old DSLR with the 70-300mm lens a lot for the first several years till I was able to upgrade to better gear.

Ever since then I’ve been eager to learn and develop a deeper passion especially for birds, but also other wildlife and nature as a whole.
