This Black-headed Grosbeak seems to be thinking intently about something. Maybe he was thinking about a spot for a nest, or more likely about the tasty sunflower seeds in the feeder a few feet away or even more likely maybe he was just curious about what that human with a long black thing was doing watching him. Either way, I’ll never know, but I love the soft, vivid spring light shining down on him.
